Hi there everybody. I'm not going to lie, this week was a lot harder for me than last week in Photoshop. I just have a really hard time with color. The thing that I've found out about Photoshop is that there are so many ways to do something. Even though this can be a good thing, it can also lead to some serious feelings of being overwhelmed. I guess that's what happened to me this week.
I kept trying to figure out what images of mine would work best for this exercise and I kept coming up short. Finally, I ended up using an image from the book and just following along with Deke. The image was taken by photographer Gunnar2000 and it's from the Fotolia image library.
By following along with Deke I was at least able to figure out how to change the color of an object inside Photoshop, how to re-size, align and copy an image, and how to create different blend modes with multiple layers.
I feel like I get the concepts in Photoshop, but I seem to be having a hard time actually applying them within the program. Maybe it's my inability to remember all of the tools and their functions, or maybe it's something else. I don't know. All I know is that I'm just going to keep plugging away and hopefully stuff will start to come more naturally to me as the semester goes on.
Anyway, here is the color adjusted image that I was able to create in Photoshop.
